360 Advanced’s Quality Assurance Manager Chelsea Higgins and Practice Director Ryan Winkler have been selected by HITRUST to serve on the 2022 HITRUST External Assessor Council.
Background on HITRUST
HITRUST was created in 2007 to maintain the HITRUST Framework (CSF), which is used to manage regulatory risk for global organizations across all industries and throughout the third-party supply chain. HITRUST’s service offerings include integrated solutions for organizations to meet their compliance objectives.
Role of the HITRUST Council
The Council interacts regularly with HITRUST to share challenges and opportunities relating to service offerings to help continue to evolve and adapt to the needs of today’s marketplace, said HITRUST’s Director of Strategic Partnerships, Matthew Datel.
What Serving on HITRUST Council Means for 360 Advanced
Higgins recently finished her second year on the Council and was re-accepted for the next term. Serving on the Council provides enormous value both to clients and to 360 Advanced, she said.
“As a part of the Council we are able to take our deep understanding of our clients’ unique compliance challenges and communicate them to HITRUST to create meaningful solutions,” she said. “We are excited to continue to be a part of this group.”
Winkler is in his first term on the HITRUST Assessor Council. He said that out of the hundreds of assessors and assessor firms, it’s an honor to be selected. He’s looking forward to being better positioned to foster relationships and collaboration within the HITRUST ecosystem.
“I’m excited to interact with other peers who have a broad range of cybersecurity experience and knowledge and to share ideas that influence enhancements and evolution of the HITRUST CSF Assurance program,” Winkler said.
Higgins appreciates that serving on the Council provides an opportunity to add value with her auditing experience and to grow her network connections with other assessors who are facing similar challenges. Being a part of the Council helps 360 Advanced provide clients with the most relevant, up-to-date information and guidance to support their compliance programs and needs.
Being selected to the Council is a testament to each member’s dedication to quality HITRUST services, Datel said.
“We look forward to meeting frequently with our members to discuss ways HITRUST can continue to improve processes, technologies, and available options for the entire HITRUST Community,” he said.
