Silvervine Achieves Compliance with SOC 1 Data Security Standards

Eric Seward August 13, 2018

Silvervine, Inc. has demonstrated its continued commitment to data security and privacy by completing a meticulous outside audit of its System and Organization Controls 1 (SOC 1) Type 2 standards.

The detailed examination that led to the achievement was administered by the IT assurance and compliance staff at 360 Advanced, a respected national Qualified Security Assessor, HITRUST CSF Assessor and CPA firm based in St. Petersburg, Fla.

The completion of the SOC 1 Type 2 examination typifies Silvervine’s consistent commitment to create and maintain the most stringent controls needed to ensure the highest quality and security of services provided to its customers. Companies that complete an annual SOC 1 examination can demonstrate a substantially higher level of assurance and operational visibility than companies that do not.

“Being SOC 1 Type 2 compliant year-over-year is an excellent standard to have in our portfolio. It’s a selling point for potential new clients, peace of mind for our existing clients and it definitely keeps us competitive,” said Michael Crain, Director of Information Technology at Silvervine. “Governance of the compliance mindset permeates everything we do at Silvervine, and is a point of pride to each team member.”
