DataBank, Ltd., a leading custom data center, managed services and cloud provider, announces their Eagan, MN, facility has completed a demanding readiness assessment preceding a third-party audit of its data security controls. The Eagan facility will follow the well-established audit process used in all DataBank facilities.
“Achieving this critical step toward third-party compliance attestation at our new Minneapolis regional data center is just another example of our commitment to a culture of superior client service at DataBank…”
The Eagan facility’s readiness assessment was conducted to prepare staff for formal audits of data security controls governed by the SOC 1 (SSAE 16), SOC 2, HIPAA Security Rule Compliance requirements, and PCI-DSS requirements. This process ensures the facility offers prospective clients assurance of both the highest-spec build-out and security available in a multi-tenant data center environment available for the Twin Cities.
“Achieving this critical step toward third-party compliance attestation at our new Minneapolis regional data center is just another example of our commitment to a culture of superior client service at DataBank,” said Jerry Blair, DataBank’s Sr. Vice President of Sales. “As the Eagan location embarks on its initial compliance audit process we illustrate our intent to go above and beyond the industry norms in demonstrating our dedication to IT controls at all levels.”
“The objective of the formal readiness assessment is to conduct a preliminary engagement to provide guidance that will empower a service organization to successfully prepare for and achieve a favorable outcome of a future audit,” explained Dan Collins, President of 360 Advanced PA, a national, multi-service, licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) firm that specializes in integrated compliance solutions for service providers. “The readiness assessment includes a firm’s ability to demonstrate its controls are sufficient and operating effectively to meet the requirements of a formal audit,” commented Collins. “DataBank’s completion of this step in the process demonstrates the firm’s commitment to its clients to provide the highest quality and security of services to their customers.”
