HITRUST, a leading organization specializing in information security and risk management, and StateRAMP (State Risk and Authorization Management Program) have announced a new pilot program that intends to create a path for StateRAMP certification.

This initiative paves the way for organizations to meet high standards of security compliance with greater ease and efficiency, and HITRUST is currently soliciting pilot candidates.

HITRUST’s Expertise

This strategic partnership is intended to offer a streamlined approach to certification, reducing the time and resources required for compliance.

StateRAMP: Elevating Cloud Service Security

StateRAMP, a state-focused program, was established to assess and certify cloud service providers (CSPs) entrusted with handling sensitive data for state and local government agencies. Its primary goal is to standardize security requirements and ensure the trustworthiness of cloud services used by government entities.

Simplifying StateRAMP Compliance

This pilot initiative is a significant stride forward in HITRUST’s mission to advance information security standards and simplify compliance for organizations. HITRUST Senior Cybersecurity Executive, Ryan Patrick, highlighted the importance of this initiative, stating, “Through this pilot program with StateRAMP, we aim to provide a more accessible and efficient path for organizations to meet the evolving demands of cybersecurity in the public sector.”
